Sobeys and related stores in the Empire ownership will be leaving the Air Miles program, starting in early August 2022.
Scene+ will be the new rewards program used in stores. The change will impact SCers who have been able to get lots of AMs at Sobeys and banner stores for groceries.

Thanks to my friend who tipped me off yesterday about the change in loyalty programs. I left Air Miles in the winter as I did not regularly shop at AM program stores.

One was Air Canada Foundation, where Aeroplan members can donate their points to charity. There are many charities listed on the Foundation's website. The article specifically mentioned the Miles for Migrants cause. There's a matching donation campaign for donations made to Miles for Migrants or Ukrainian Relief.
