Good luck Walks!!!You are braver than I.

Sorry...I didn't mean to imply that you used 'lines'...I was just making a point that stuff like that doesn't work on most intelligent women..:) Do your co-workers have any opportunities to get out socially? Birthdays, etc? Friday evening cocktail to start the weekend? That would encourage some ice-breaking, I would hope...but of course not all co-workers get together. Vesper made an excellent point...working so close to her, just ask if she's looking forward to the weekend...a few days off...not to ask for a date, just to make conversation...ask her if she has any pets at home since you're "thinking" of getting a cat (wink, wink...and who knows you MIGHT be one day...). The first conversation might not be a long one, but it's an ice-breaker...the next time you see her, ask how her weekend went, what she did, etc....Good luck! And good luck on the weight-loss!!!
Walks I found an answer to our question about fresh juice.

Ok so I am NOT a vegetarian for animals rights reasons but this is kind of freaky.

Oh my!! What a video. Makes us humans look pathetic right?
She rejected me. I could not feel any worse than I do right now. That's all I'm going to say. Have a good night.
Oh sorry brother! That sucks. It will linger a while, but one day, you'll be glad.
I asked this 6 foot 1 redhead (real), she rejected me because I was 6 years younger than her. Now she married a gay guy. LOL! Don't feel so bad now.
Seriously, glad you tried, you got courage, that means something!
Curt, so she's looking for another type...maybe more exciting, one of those hard living, exciting guys... Any gal who's been in that kind of relationship would welcome a good, kind man. I know it sounds silly to say move right along, but you have to do that and not take it personally! Onward and forward, Curt! You've already come a long way!
Gads...you should see some of the couples I've married...It's such a wonder how people find each other no matter how old/young they are, how skinny or chubby they are....how they look, love finds them because they're open to finding it and they KNOW AND BELEVE their partner is looking fir them, too....forget about her....she has her mind set on another kind of guy...she's welcome to him! :)
Wow...even after a few days my jeans are fitting looser! I can breathe now! If anyone is interested in my daily eating diary on that expensive Herbal Magic diet, I can post it....so far, I'm very happy with it...and without the cost! hah!:)
No reason to feel bad Curt.
Lynn has hit the nail on the head.
Smile, move on and be open for when the right person comes along....and she will.
I have always found that the people I cared the deepest for were the ones who were friends first. We communicated and learned who each other were before we introduced the complications of dating and sex. It gives a real strong base for a lasting relationship.
Most important, be yourself and be genuine.....that will keep you safe from the wrong sort of women, and will bring the right sort to you :)
Ugh. Wine yesterday at DD's while she and I were planning and booking a family trip next April.
But, back on the wagon today!
Hope all's well with everyone!!! Keep up the good work....errr...hard work!!
Sooooo, today will be the last day for solid food for DD and I as tomorrow our attempt at our first ever 5 day of veg/fruits juices on a fast/cleanse/reboot. I think I will get a nice blank journal out of my dresser drawer and write my feelings out about this as I experience them....hmmm, wonder if the pages are water proof?
:bawling:
:lolsign:
Good luck Walks..will be cheering you on this week.
Curt...sorry about the rejection, there could be so may reasons why she isn't interested don't assume it's a problem with you, she could have a million reasons why she isn't interested, but you put yourself out there and that is huge, congratulations.I am proud of you.
Vesper..sorry about the tall red head, I bet she is not happy about it either! I too am a tall red head and I find either men went crazy for red heads or were totally not into them!!No happy medium!
Lynn don't even give that glass of wine a second thought,,your doing great.Have a great week.
I have been really naughty this weekend. I went out with a friend last night, drank 2 beers, had half of a steak and mushroom pie with some gravy and a couple fries.....half bag of popcorn with extra butter, then 3 double jack and diet cokes.
Today I finished off that popcorn, had a tomatoe sandwich, my coffee. I am working on a Caesar right now and will be having a baked potatoe and t-bone for dinner. Going to probably get through half the potatoe and a quarter of the steak. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention those 3 Cinnabons I had. Ooops!
Totally off the wagon this weekend, but I have been doing pretty good, almost 10 lbs down in the last month so I am entitled to a bit of naughtiness!
Keep up the great work everyone.....we cannot deprive ourselves too much or it backfires, and tomorrow is a new day!
