I missed weigh in because I had a corn lunch to do at Kevin's school today so I was out the door early I will try to remember tomorrow before I go down to Vermont.

What happened to my Friday? Gosh, I weighed myself before getting ready for work, real early...like 3:30 a.m. and was happy not to have gained any weight, but now I am wondering if eating hummus again is going to be my undoing.
I eat it with crisp veggies, but the whole tub disappears in minutes!
Sadly there is cake and celebration here later tonight for a special birthday, so I have no choice but to taste a small bit. Sweets have not been a problem since I started that juice fast ( Aug 26th), mainly my sedentary lifestyle now may be the biggest hindrance.
Congrats big time to you Curt!! Granger and I Refuse to Pay Full Price, you guys are doing swimmingly!! Just about time for a nap now, I got up at 4:00 a.m. again to ready the place for guests tonight. Check in with you all later!

Hello everyone, lots of catching up to do, but it seems that you are all coming along fabulously....as usual. It's great to see such support for each other here. I've been kept running for quite a bit of time this summer, landed for a short hospital stay, then back out and at it again. I can't believe that the summer is gone. Yes, we still have the summer weather, but honestly, I happy all the little ones are back in school (as are all you parents out there I'm sure). Anyways, I'm back.....sort of like a bad smell, you just can't get rid of me no matter how hard you try :P

Congrats to everyone....I did not weigh in of course, since I do not want to know how much I gained this summer...carbs just do me IN! But I am back on track with a little slip Saturday, and naturally we have our physicals this morning so our doc will weigh me in...I will tell him not to tell me what it is...no point in exhibiting signs of depression in a doctor's office. Honestly...he's like Santa! He'll smile at another of my demands, lol, and put up with me...Wish I had kept that weight off. I can always, as they say, serve as a bad example to you all. Curt: almost in ONEderland!!! How fantastic for you! Everyone, keep up the hard work...on Walks' suggestion I will be buying 10lbs of beets from RCSS today and preparing borsch today or tomorrow, served with 0% sour cream. Just a small dollop, Walks...pinky-swear...:)

I did not weigh in , we were so busy and left early in the morning on Saturday to go to Vermont. I will wait until Friday at this point but I am sure I was the same anyways.
Made a fresh batch of green juice to kick start the week. Going to make some nice thick tomato orzo and a creamy potato soup today.
I think this is the beginning of the big push towards Christmas. Fingers crossed for all of us. Good luck, rubbing my rabbit foot, four leaf clover, lucky charm, voodoo doll what ever it takes :P

Made 2 big pots of soup today. My standard tomato orzo and a creamy 2 potato soup.
3 large sweet potatoes
5 lbs white potatoes
2 large onions
fine herbs, salt, pepper, celery powder(not celery salt), 10 roasted garlic cloves
saute onions until very tender, add about 10 cups of water, add peeled and cubed potatoes(both)
bring to boil then simmer for about an hour, until very tender, then puree with an immersion blender
It turned out yummy. Hardly any left after the 6 of us got to it :P

I weighed in last Friday..but forgot to post:( down 137....I can't remember what I was last time?? But I started this summer at 158... So at least it is still down.....125 or bust for me:) good luck everyone:)

Patty, that looks wonderful...have you tried the recipe for Butternut Squash soup that was featured in the LCBO book a couple of years ago? Omg...it's to die for! Everyone loves it...I turn a canned 1/2 pear, bum-side up in it when I plate it for everyone....decadent!!!

Weighed in early, maintained. I snacked a couple nights this week...but no loss or gain is okay with me. Allowing myself the weekend treat and then, NO evening snackies!!!
