5 cent Makeup at Walmart

yes sadly its true.. you'd be quite surprised what some stores will throw it, outdated, missing a piece. etc.

Sometimes stores can't get reimbursed by the companies so they just write it off and throw it. It is illegal for them to sell expired goods, and I assume that makeup would go along with that.

I was hoping some people would have some luck finding this deal. Maybe it is just a tease lol. I'd imagine if it were expired it would get thrown out.....otherwise, what a waste!

When things are marked down to .05 they are suppose to go to claims. Which is then scanned out of the stores system and then either shipped back to the company or thrown in the garbage. When the stores catch it they will either remove it and do the above or let it sell for the .05. It depends on the store itself and the department manager for that area. When the Lipstick and Nailpolish went on last year one of the Wal-marts here claimed them and threw them out. The other store sold them for the .05. I found all this out by asking the department managers of cosmetics at each store. Hope this helps. Someone could still potentially find this deal.

I actually found a couple of the blush, there were only three left and they were marked at regular price, but scanned at 5 cents

I have stuff to buy at WM, so maybe I'll take a peak while I am there.

Found only the eyeshadow at my store for $0.05, and really not my colours, but I have 2 daughters in their early 20's, so I'm sure they will like them.

They didn't carry that exact foundation, all the others were full price, so nothing for me... just the girls.

FYI, the shelf had the regular price marked, which is probably the only reason there were a few left!!
