I had bad credit for years from an unpaid student loan. I finally was able to get my own visa last year (hubby wanted me to get a joint card with him, but I wanted my own). I really have to watch as it is soooooooooooo easy to just put my purchases on it (I, too, seem to have a shopping addiction), and I can so relate to running it up with awesome deals and coupons! I have been able to keep it under control, I am proud to say, as I really do not want to go back to having bad credit again :0(. Good luck getting it sorted out

Nothing going on over here thats too exciting. Lookiing forward to the next package train .

Not sure? But I'm going out with my lil family to celebrate family day here! Authentic dim sum lunch out then joining the celebration/fun at the Living Arts Centre in Mississauga (apparently lots of things for kids), gonna do some window shopping at Square One mall then dinner at Tucker's Marketplace
For those who have Family Day ... Any plans?

Hi Ladies,
I JUST sent the rough draft to Jez. I was waaaay to tired last night... so if anyone is angry.... direct it at ME not at Jez!!!
I will be around all day to get it up and running (with Jez) of course. I have NO IDEA what her plans are for the day so everyone please, please, please be patient
I can still feel my liver "kicking me". Ouchie. SO. MUCH. FUN.
As for CC Debt.... hubby and I have none. We keep 1 CC with a VERY LOW limit for online ordering/booking hotels/etc and then pay cash for EVERYTHING. I think CC are E.V.I.L. Wait, I'm lying.... we also have another that is taped to the bottom of a drawer and it is for the dogs ONLY! Just in case one gets very sick or hurt. We have only had to use it once.
In our "regular checking" account we also treat $1000 as "$0.00". Small security blanket there.
Our savings account is not hooked up to a bank card.... so we REALLY have to think about that kind of withdrawl. And, happy to say... we never have taken money from it for anything silly
Also, our relationship rule is "anything over $100" for a personal purchase(Clothes, Tools, ETC) we have to talk it over with the other person FIRST!
Some think we are crazy for that rule but it works for us.

Hi guys - just a heads up that Canada Post is in fact operational on provincial holidays. They are federally regulated so provincial holidays don't apply to them (although many provincial and federal holidays do tend to overlap). There are other holidays that they get that most provinced don't (rememberance day etc).
Of course, if the store the postal outlet is in is closed, you won't be able to access the postal outlet so they're clised too

MeShell - the $ thing is how my ex husband and I used to do things too...it was the one (and only) thing that seemed to work in our relationship!
I've been very bad with cards in the past when I eas married and walked away from the marriage with debt and a horrific credit rating so I've spent the last few years working on it. Ironically, credit cards with a lot of available credit are the best thing to help! :banghead:
