Yes the next train is Pumpkin's train, so will be interesting to see what the theme is! :D I'll most likely ride that train (hopefully i don't miss boarding!!) I'm still undecided on whether I'd ride the Easter or Mother's Day train. I have SO many chocolates in my freezer from Christmas, but I do like those mini eggs and mini creme eggs for a treat around Easter. We'll see LOL i said I wasn't going to do the V-day train and here I am

46. Lime green picnic set
I think I missed this question. I'd love to start picnicing as a weekly outing with the kids (and hubby too!), so this would be a great gift for me!

For those that had kids pretty close together, do you remember if transitioning the oldest to a toddler bed was difficult? At what age did you do it? Did you do it before or after the new baby was born? I'm due in July.......Jackson will only be 17 months by then. I don't want to buy another crib. We were going to keep the nursery for the new baby, and move him into the "spare room/playroom". We're buying him a "cool" toddler bed....debating on a car bed or pirate ship bed LOL I've also read that it's probably better to transition him to his new room before baby is born so he's well adjusted instead of being jealous that baby took his room afterwards (even tho, yes, we will keep new baby in our room in the bassinet for the first month or two) Anyways was just wondering about anyone else's thoughts on the subject...

yes that the next one, pumpkin will be hosting
I only have 1, but thought I would throw in my 2 cents anyways lol! We moved DD into a toddler bed (one from ikea so it is longer than a crib mattress - I'm thinking it should last her until 5 then maybe a bunk bed) at 23 months! She liked it right away, but she was never a crib baby. As long as there is something to stop him rolling out or having the mattress on the floor it should be ok at 17 months or so. I would move him before the baby arrives!RRLF $1 Life Choice, Pampers & Huggies Diapers, Pampers GTG codes

Ditto! I'd move him before.. get him excited about his big boy room etc so there arent any extra jealousy issues with a new baby in his room. May be confusing for him if he moves rooms and there's a baby all at once. Plus, if he doesn't like it, he may associate the new room with the new baby...not great. But if you do it and leave a few weeks or something in between the two events, there's some time for him to transition. Haha, this coming from the girl who can't get her baby to sleep on her own for more than an hour. Yay co--sleeping! :banghead: one thing parenthood has taught me...never say never!

our situation was a little differnent with our guys. when our youngest was born, his brother was only a year and a week old. way too young for a bigger bed.. main reason he wasn't even walking yet. once our youngest hit a year old we were moving so we took that opportunity to put them both in toddler beds. it worked very well. then, when they were 2 &3 i believe, we put them both in a double bed for a week (it was ours we went from a double to two singles) they handled it well so they both got cheap big boy beds from Ikea.. (we've since bought two more lol).. anyway.. if my oldest was walking i woud have done the bed before his brother was born.

Co-sleeping seems to be looked down on in North America. Its quite common in Europe and other nations! We still co-sleep about an average of 5-6 nights a week! I'm not worried, she is not going to want to sleep with us forever! And it's the difference between a full night sleep and no sleep! Just do whatever works for you!

We had a family bed for years - I think they were 2 and 4 when they finally slept in their own rooms. And even then they were in with us through the night a lot. We just got a king size bed so there was room for us all. Like you said - it's a way to get a full nights sleep and when you both work, you need it

I used to many years ago
Well, we lost our battle this morning. Our kitten Bear passed away this morning, the anemia was just to bad for her to overcome. Her poor little body gave out on her at 11:47 this morning. I know that she fought it with everything she had, but it just wasn't enough.
