What book are you reading or recently read?

I bought the set of 5 books ( George R.R. Martin ) and both DD and DH chuckled at my expense saying IF I even get through the first one ( GOT ) , I will be so aggravated, confused and in a coma like state that I won't read the remaining four. What are they talking about? Was this a poor choice for some summer reading?
I want to prove them wrong, but I have 2 other books on the go atm, so cannot even start the GOT one yet.

I just requested that as an audio book for my commute. Have you read The Wife. It was a good read.

The Dry by Jane Harper

and I am about to begin the new Kate Atkinson (Jackson Brodie book) called Big Sky.

The Third Wife - Lisa Jewell

Book One ( of the five in the set ) started yesterday. Game Of Thrones.
Lord help me to get through this series of books! I wanna prove to DH and DD wrong. They smirked at each other and scoffed at my enthusiasm claiming I'd not be able to finish any of them. We'll see 'bout that!

I have my hold in place for the Ex and today picked up another book by Alafair Burke that was ready for p.u. ( If You Were Here )
The Wife has so many holds for it....so I did not bother asking for that one. I put down GOT for the moment to get through this library one first, as there are no renewals allowed.

not as tedious as one might think. quite a bit of repetition in various sections.

GoJays had to laugh when i read the title the 3rd wife then noticed the smily with the baseball bat was funny to me.

I'm still trying to find "navigators of dune" on audio.
