I recently read, "And the Mountains Echoed." I thought it was OK, it jumped around a LOT and it took a bit before you realized who you were reading about now.
Under the Dome, at my DH's suggestion, was a good read.
"The Beginner's Goodbye" was kind of good.
Last book I read was, "The Ocean at the End of the Lane." I enjoyed that one, finished it quickly.
Day of Tears - 10/10 Great historical fiction for youth about a mass slave selling
The Knife of Never Letting Go (Ness) - 4/10 Ended on a cliff hanger, won't be buying the sequel (I think the author was trying to create a metaphor for mass amounts of information we share via the web and social media in a fantasy world and failed miserably).
The Fault in Our Stars (Green) - 7/10 Enjoyed it, finished it quickly, but very Nicholas Sparks-like and didn't live up to the hype for me
A Casual Vacancy (Rowling) - having a hard time getting into it, hoping it will get better, but I keep choosing to watch episodes of Breaking Bad on Netflix instead.
Just started, Doing Time in the Garden: Life Lessons Through Prison Horticulture by James Jiler. I think some colleges are using it as a criminology or sociology textbook. Interesting and inspiring.
Just discovered Augusten Burroughs so am reading all his stuff currently.
currently reading Divergent.. so far pretty good easy read there are 3 books in the series (though last one isn't released till the end of the month)
i'm waiting on the next dresden files book (why oh why must he only write 1 a year??)
just finished alien hunter by whitley streiber.. it was meh... lots of typos, kinda weird that so many would get past the proof readers
I'm just finishing up Stick Figure: A Diary of My Former Self by Lori Gottlieb.
Doctor Sleep. Almost finished.. another stellar piece of work by Stephen King :)
Wow, love this thread. Some pretty great and interesting reads everyone has picked. I have a habit of reading 4 to 5 books at a time. I recently finished The Cuckoo’s Calling by Robert Galbraith (aka JK Rowling) and A Feast for Crows by George R.R. Martin. I don't want to start A Dance With Dragons until the next book comes out because I don't want to finish it and then have to wait.

The Pacific by Hugh Ambrose
The Black Echo by Michael Connelly. I'm only started reading his books on my mom's recommendation, so I'm starting from the beginning.
The Politics by Aristotle
The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter by Carson McCullers. I'm pretty much always reading this book. It's my favourite book, so I usually end up reading it at least twice a year.

........ANNNNNDDDD, upon further research I have just discovered that it's in development to be turned into a movie. It's a Disney movie and Ron Howard jwill be directing it.. yay :)
