Started reading The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness (Award winner for Children's Fiction, The Guardian), first chapter made me go, meh. I will give it a few more, in which case I will either not be able to put it down or will abandon it all together.

Grisham is great. I really like The Testament. The old gentleman is so mean but I really admire how he did not let his ungrateful adult children rob him blind. I love the idea of rewarding the "other child".

just finished the Harry Potter series recently (like last week) and loved it. finally got to them. lol

now I am reading a book called Tomatoland and I got it from the gardening section of the library and thought it was a gardening book. lol never read the back until I picked it up to read at home. wow. some serious content in there. it is about tomatoes and how they are grown in Florida mainly. modern day slavery, terrible chemicals that are sprayed on the tomatoes and the workers and all kinds of other nasty stuff. really interesting and eye opening because I had no idea about this stuff going on. probably important to be aware of this kind of stuff but what do I do with it now? I don't think we get tomatoes from Florida in Alberta. anyways very shocking and eye opening.

I started reading Red Rain by R.L. Stine... remember when you were a kid and you read the Goosebumps books and the Fear Street books? Yes, he wrote an adult book finally.

Just finished "A Song of Ice and Fire" and now I want to buy the TV season boxes. I am so excited to get them, but I could also use the money to save for my Germany trip.

I'm working on the House of Night series by P.C and Kristin Cast (they're a mother/daughter team). I took the first 3 books with me when I went to Cuba. I finished 2 of them before I came back, then finished the third a few days later. I'm borrowing them from my sister, so when I went to return the first 3 I borrowed the next one. I finished it on the weekend....I'm hoping to head over to her house this week to return this one and get the next 2.
