Summer of 69 by Elin Hilderbrand....great book..devoured in 2 sittings.

I have my hold in place for the Ex and today picked up another book by Alafair Burke that was ready for p.u. ( If You Were Here )
The Wife has so many holds for it....so I did not bother asking for that one. I put down GOT for the moment to get through this library one first, as there are no renewals allowed.
Lots of relaxing summertime reading!!

Finished reading both The Ex and If You Were Here,
ty @heartgirl99 for the tip, I did in fact place a hold for The Wife in large print, so it should come soon.
In the meantime I am back to reading more of GOT.

A relation on my wife's side who passed away a few weeks ago served in the Hastings and Prince Edward regiment in WWII, although understandably, in the 25+ years I knew him, he had barely ever talked about that part of his life.

I knew that Farley Mowat had served in it at the same time, and that he had written a book about his experiences, but had never gotten around to reading it. It turned out that he wrote two, so I recently finished "And No Birds Sang", and am about to start "The Regiment" which I from the library a couple of days ago.
