So I went to Canadian Tire on Mapleview in Barrie yesterday to grab some of the great deals!! I got

    3x $2 Clorox- 1.50= .50 ea
    3x $2 Tilex- 1.50= .50 ea
    2x $2 Scrubbing Bubbles - BOGO= $1 ea
    2x $1 Dawn- 1.00= .50 ea

BUT, they made me do a SEPERATE transaction for each one!! What a pain it was because I had NO cash on me, so I had to purchase it all with no coupons, get cash back, then return it all and go back and repurchase it all but only one coupon per transaction because apparently the maufacturers are not reimbursing them for multiple coupons in one transaction???? I tried explaining that it says " one coupon per purchase" not "per transaction". The cashiers were still really friendly and somewhat disappointed with the manufacturers, but still it took me over half an hour to do all of this.
Has anyone else had this happen to them there?

Sorry if this is in the wrong section, please feel free to move if you need to.

I had this problem once but yesterday the cashier let me use 20 coupons in one transaction she just totalled the coupons and rang them in a one total. The Manufactures have no clue how many we're used in a single transaction they only ask that the store has sufficient stock for the number of coupons redeemed

Not always some cashiers do but why did you have to pay with cash instead of debit the first ne then get cash back?

Be happy you can use more than one coupon a day - can't here. Since the stores are privately owned, they have different rules at each store.

The first time I purchased it with debit in order to get the cash back because I didn't have any cash on me and I wasn't about to use my debit card 10 times for items that only cost .76 with tax.

If the flyer was more specific I would have just pm'ed at Walmart, but I just didn't want the hassle with sizes and stuff.

Yeah, I hate couponing at Canadian Tire--always the same old one per item/one per transaction/one per customer argument. I pretty well gave up and now pricematch everything at Walmart!

Ok, so a few weeks ago my DD had the same problem at CT! She was buying dog food and they would only let her use one coupon. She was not permitted to do seperate transactions or anything. The cashier said they were trying to limit the amount of "Crazy Couponners" by limiting coupons to one! Lol, good thing I wasen't with her, I would have went off my rocker!
