Hope everyone is having a great day ! Mine started off weird ... 7:30 a.m. mom from the city calls and tells me she locked herself out of the house last nite, spent the nite at my sister in laws ... who lost her spare key and nephew was at beach with the other spare key. 45 mins to the city. Then we took her grocery shopping ( I love my mom dearly, but do you have any idea how long its takes an 82 old to grocery shop ??? LD love a duck ! then unpacked all her groceries ..... )
So we left at 7:45 and got home after 2pm ... exhausted ....... Not the Saturday I had planned

My goodness, does that count as your Mother's Day festivities for her? I know you love your mom dearly yet can empathize with the way a child becomes the parent. I'm sure your mom appreciates how you were there for her and every dragged out moment in the grocery store was bliss for her as she was with her daughter. A mundane event made special just because you were there.

*I read my comment above again just now and do not wish it to be misinterpreted as snarky. I meant it in that you are a good daughter sort of way. Perhaps Saturday counted towards Mother's day and hoping your brother/sister in law bring mom to you so you don't have to drive back into the city on Sunday?
