Thread: Should I reply to this email?

I'm selling something on craigslist, and I got an email with no words. The displayed email address is from hotmail. I tried to reply to this email asking if he's interested to buy or what, but then see the email address changed to a different one ending with '@gmx.us' as soon as I hit the reply button.
I remember something happened exactly like this, one or two months ago, and I didn't go ahead to reply. I wonder if this is not an isolated incident.
Has anyone had this experience before? Are those scamming emails just trying to get your email address or something? This thread is currently associated with: N/A

NO!
Reason being, that is done on purpose and for a reason, probably to trick you. No shortage of bad people looking to find a sucker.

I'd run your virus and malware checkers...That looks like a Trojan link looking to infect your machine/network.

If he is really interested on what you sell, he'll leave some words. So no need to reply.
