apparently today is Blue Monday and apparently the most depressing day of the year. reasons given are that the Christmas bills are coming now and it is cold and people are failing their new years resolutions about now. or so they say. My response is -isn't every Monday blue? lol but in terms of winter-here in Alberta the snow keeps coming and I can agree it starts to get depressing. so do you feel more depressed than usual? or is every Monday blue?

Ottawa -18 C, -24 C with the wind chill.
I nearly choked on my rice the other night at dinner when I saw Ottawa got down to -30 with the wind....

Mondays are my favourite work days because of what I do on those days. Thursdays are my least favourite.
Today was a pretty good day. I'm feeling a little under the weather physically, but nothing major. This is one of the coldest weeks we've had this winter where I am. But it's sunny, so it's not so bad. I like this time of year because the light is gradually coming back and making the days a bit longer. I don't rack up huge bills over Christmas. Finances haven't been great for me for the last year, but there's more to life than money. I don't make New Year's resolutions because I don't believe in a once for all time approach. I just keep plugging away at my goals all year long. Some days are better than others, but as long as I keep making progress, things keep getting better in the long run.

Didn't feel a 'blue Monday'; I just don't like Mondays usually because my husband and son go back to work!
