We are with bell ( fibe tv and fibe 6 Internet with 25 gb limit) for almost 2 yrs now, in couple of month our contract is getting over. We generally pay $134 a month for both the service.
Looking for suggestions whether to continue with bell or should change to some other provider so that we can save something without sacrificing Internet limit.
"Internet with 25 gb limit".....We don't have internets limits on NS with Bell Aliant.....thank god, my reports show I used 208GB in the past 31 days. Yes, 208GB.
208 Gb.... May be u have taken unlimited internet plan.. How much do u pay monthly o. Tv and Internet?
im in Toronto, Ontario so I guess here with every provider we have to pay for Internet as per what limit package we choose.
I switched to a company called Start Communications for our internet about 7 months ago, they are strictly local (Ontario), which is great. Their website is www.start.ca, they offer services that run through both Bell & Rogers lines, for the fraction of the cost and normally 5-10x the usage with the same speed. As for TV, I've found there aren't too many solutions for lower cost television besides getting into a lower cost contract or simply asking Bell if they can give you a better deal. I normally like to threaten to switch to another company so they connect me to retentions.

Rogers is running a promo right now (in Ontario at least I know) where you can add "unlimited" internet to your package for an extra $10/mos. I know that this is offered to client's who have home phone/internet and tv with them which we did. It's great because I was previously paying for their 120GB plan so I lowered it to the 80GB plan and added the $10 deal so I was still paying the same price. My cost with Rogers is about $125/mos for all 3 services.
Teksavvy for internet is pretty decent. My DSL (which would be slower then Fibe) is $33 a month with 300Gb limit.Quote:

With a decent antenna, over the air is an option, especially if you can pick up the Buffalo stations. I have an antenna and record on my computer.
mine is from bell with 295GB cap and 25MB/10mb speed for $59.99.
That's pretty good. I have the same speed but only 140GB cap and I pay $66.95. I think it's time to get a better deal.Quote:
