Hummm, sure I wouldn't get away with opening the packages here... I found them recently as well, I already had 5 coupons in my wallet.

Please note there are no Tena Trial packs in this photo as the cashier told me on payday she was gonna try to get he same deal as she uses the Tena pads. At the... end of my 3rd transaction, I took the bag of 19 x Tena packs in & gave them to her.
I started out with 5 Tena, $5 off couponsin my wallet. And finished off with 7 Tena, $5 off coupons in my wallet.

    1st Transaction:
    6 x Tena Trial packs, 2 x Pistachios, 1 x $15 Subway gift card
    Total -$0.24 overage, OOP $0.53

    2nd Transaction:
    6 x Tena Trial packs, 1 x Angus steaks $25
    Total $0.82, OOP $0.82

    3rd Transaction:
    7 x Tena Trial packs, 1 x Angus steaks $25
    Total $1.79, OOP $1.79

I was at my local Walmart today and there was a sign posted in an aisle (should have taken a pic) advising customers to pay for their item(s) before opening them.

I keep forgetting to look for these! I need the product so the coupon would be a golden find since the reg price and even sale price of Tena can be so expensive. Nice overage deals for you OP!

It certainly is not jealousy on my behalf.
I used to work as an LPO.
There is a right way to do things.
There is no one excuse that anyone could say to me to justify opening packages prior to purchase.

As an LPO had I witnessed any customer doing that:
They could be escorted out of the store on the spot, at which time the LPO would go upstairs and review the Video and post their picture for future surveillance.
Just the same as they do for suspected shoplifters. Customers can be searched and subsequently banned from larger Retail Chains. That ban could be anywhere from 30 days to a year, IF you are caught on premises you could be looking at Trespassing charges. And that is not just for the store in which you were caught that goes chainwide. Lastly you can face a multitude of charges b/c until you actually physically pay for the products they are property of the store.

For 97cents you could have legally done the transaction. With that $5coupon you could've done seperate transactions. With 5 products in each one.
Opening each package after each transaction. And while inconvenient it would have been perfectly legal.

If you go to http://www.tena.ca/english/women/pro...r-free-sample1, you get a free sample and a $2 coupon for ANY Tena pad or underwear, expires May 29, 2013.

I Found the Tena trial packs at WM, around 40 of them... bought 5 that day, was looking for the Zantac, and they had that too. It was literally the best shopping trip ever. Went back the next morning to get some overage, bought five more, used the overage for some craft items for my dsd. Went back the next day and all the remaining trial packs were gone, but hey, at least I managed to get some embroidery floss kits for dsd to continue on her friendship bracelet making adventure. Will be keeping an eye out for them to re-stock or at a different WM, or trade them. My mom also bought 5 the first day, so she gave me her coupons since they don't have them at our WM anymore. It was short lived but fun while it lasted.
