You don't need a referral code. Just leave it blank. Referral codes r simply just other users. I believe you earn pts for each person that uses ur code, which is their username.

You earn an extra 50 points when signing up for using one, plus the person whose code you use earns 100 points.

Another tip: If you plan on scanning all the items in your fridge and pantry, use it as an opportunity to check expiry dates on stuff you have and throw out anything that is expired. Then you can reorganize everything as you put it back away. Kill a few birds with one stone.

Is there a trick to scanning? It has only ever worked twice for me. Every other time I get a message that says "Tap Barcode to Focus" and it just sits there and nothing happens. I'm using an iPad 2. Thanks for any help/suggestions.

I was only able to scan ONE item, and I've tried dozens. It was a Terry's Chocolate Orange that worked! I have no idea what I did differently to make it work that one time!

I find its has to be just the right lighting or it wont scan I can never get anything to scan once the sun goes down but I have earned a $5 gc in about an hour and a half of scanning so not bad

Thanks for posting about this app. I scanned for about an hour on friday when there was a snow storm, I redeemed a $5 subway gc already. I like this over some facebook freebies, which you have to sit in front of your computer constantly refreshing your page to see if the FPCs have gone live. and of course, I almost never get these kind of FPCs.

I did the exact same thing, I was stuck in the house anyway. Made good use of my time as I'm almost up to $10 in starbucks cards and my cupboards are neat and tidy now. I took this to the grocery store and checked in too!

If that happens it means it's trying to focus and scan the code but can't. Try moving the scanner in and out while trying to focus on it and that should help.
