I so often go to the bathroom in the middle of the night, I should be careful not to be killed by accident by DH. He might think a burglar is in there, after all, a tiny window in the bathroom on the first floor directly linked to the master bedroom is the best way to get into a house unnoticed
I should probably lock the door too...there's a big chance he might want to go to the bathroom at the same timeLast edited by Jina; Fri, Feb 22nd, 2013 at 11:08 PM.

Pistorious trial to be "partly televised"
A South African judge has ruled that the trial of athlete Oscar Pistorius can be partially televised.
Mr Pistorius shot his girlfriend, the model and reality TV star Reeva Steenkamp, more than a year ago, and his murder trial begins next Monday.
State prosecutors allege the killing was premeditated, but he claims he mistook her for an intruder.
The BBC's Pumza Fihlani says it will be the first time parts of a trial in South Africa are televised live.
Short answer : no Long answer : NOOOOOOOOOOO!

When Oscar was charged, it seemed the media reported on his every move for about six months. Then it seemed like everything was quiet in media outside of South Africa, where press still mentioned any court activity/motions.
Now the case is back into the worldwide media lens just after the Olympics ended...

If the prosecution lawyer doesn't wake up and actually do his job, Oscar will run free once again. I watch the trial each morning...his defence lawyer has scored some real points while even I would have known enough to blow holes in some of them! Pathetic.

Prosecution and Defense final arguments completed today.
The judge will decide. Sept. 11
I think maybe not "murder" but "manslaughter" will be the decision.
What do you think the judge will say?

If it's not murder, then an injustice will have been done. Unless he killed her with the first shot, he would have heard her screaming. He kept on shooting.
Didn't a neighbour hear screams?

We certainly do, Patty...misplaced worship of athletes, movie people, musicians, regardless of those peoples' disregard for their own health (drugs, alcohol abuse, surgeries to desperately clutch at their fading youth, heroine-chic)), the rights of others (mistreatment of staff...the "little people"), and in spite of the fact that too much of anything isn't enough for them.
If they only knew how little thought their "gods" give them.

Oscar Pistorius guilty of culpable homicide
Judge Thokozile Masipa said there was not enough evidence to support the contention that Pistorius knew Steenkamp was behind a locked toilet door in his home when he shot through the door in the predawn hours of Valentine's Day last year. Masipa said prosecutors had not proven beyond a reasonable doubt that Pistorius intended to kill Steenkamp.
The red-robed judge ordered Pistorius, 27, to stand before she delivered the formal verdict on the multiple counts against him, and said it was a unanimous verdict, meaning she and her two legal assessors agreed on the findings. The conviction of culpable homicide, similar to manslaughter, can bring a maximum prison sentence of 15 years
Masipa said Pistorius's sentencing hearing would begin on Oct. 13. Both sides will be able to call witnesses to argue ahead of the judge's ruling on if, or for how long, Pistorius is sent to prison for negligently killing Steenkamp.
The sentence for a culpable homicide conviction is at the judge's discretion, and it can range from a suspended sentence and a fine to up to a maximum of 15 years in prison.

so if what I am reading is right then a judge " could " give him a suspended sentence? That seems odd for what he did.
