    I picked up ground chicken today, and on the label it said "may contain traces of egg" >>> MAY CONTAIN TRACES OF EGG??? >>>OMG HOW YOUNG WERE THE CHICKENS??? I just don't know it just sounds weird to me never saw that before. Does anyone else have examples of labels that just make you take a 'double-take'??? I've read about appliance labels that say not to use while asleep and all of that, it just cracks me up!!!

    That sort of wording is there to cover their butts because of allergies and such.
    It pretty much means that they also produce products which contain eggs at that same facility, so it may come into contact with the eggs.

    A couple of years ago we were eating a gift basket that was sent to us at work and me and one girl were sharing a package of flavoured peanuts and there was a warning on the label that this product maybe contain nuts or peanuts. Really I hope my peanuts contain peanut!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    the worst double take that i have done was that on new years someone brought spinach dip (marzetti) and we read the label and it had chicken fat in it.....is that really necessary?

    At a summer job, I had to do a lot of photocopying. The instructions on the copier were in English and German. Bored one day, I read on the screen, do not sit on platen glass = meaning, no photocopying of your bum on the glass portion.
