I think I would be more upset that I learned the news by text - not the news itself... It will take some time to absorb but maybe we can have a special baby package train for your grand baby!
Pumpkin's Pantaloon Package Train
Coyote, take all the time you need to digest that news. My mom took a while too, she wasn't ready to be a grandma at 40.

Soon to be grandmas, please remember that phones and planes go in both directions. I've just started ww3 with dh's family regarding this concept. I have resolved that I won't be returning to the soo until they make an appearance down here for somethimg other than hockey tournaments. Now Don's annoyed with me etc. Whatever. If your DIL invites you to stay for a week in July when you're off work, the correct response is NOT "uhhh...why would we do that? "
Sorry - a lot of family drama this weekend!
Anywho, I definitely understand that your sons are very young to be having children of their own, so I'm sure there are undigestable feelings, however at this point, what's done is done. For better or worse. All you can do now is focus on the wee one that will be coming and help the parents prepare as best as possible (I mean mentally, not with "stuff") for the chaos that is going to ensue. It's going to be a big kick in the a$$ for them...that's for sure.
Pumpkin's Pantaloon Package Train
The one thing that I always tell myself ( it will happen to me at some point) and my mom always said to me, "it is a precious gift that we are given, even if we are not ready for it, and we will make it a joyous occasion"
DH and I were both the first ones on both sides to give them their first grandchild, and we were only 20 and 21. It was a long road to try to make ourselves and our families ready for what we were about to face, but it was our parents support that we were able to make it work. Now 13 years later, we are going strong and wouldn't change a thing. If not for our parents support instead of bad feelings, I am not sure we would have been able to hold it together in the begining.
Just my thoughts on what can be a rough situation. Coyote and GP, you will both be wonderful grandparents :)
