Man am I ever glad I found this post! I have been pondering for months about how to deal with my ripped up heavy binder. Last week was the last straw when I lost a Pull Ups FPC because of my broken binder!

From now on I am planning on using that smaller binder mentioned in one of the earlier posts (with zipper of course) and the awesome idea of the recipe boxes for coupons I have for trading.

THANK YOU to all for your input and for OP for starting this wicked thread

I also had a glowgirl holder, then the button fell off and I got a tip from jamcoupies (where are you?!!) to use a make-up bag from Clinique. You get them free all the time as a Gift with Purchase. The glowgirl dividers fit perfectly and it holds A LOT and they are also very pretty!

im stealing this idea too. i use at most now maybe 10 coupons a week/month now. as i haven't been able to get out without a car and in the snow/ice to get new coupons so i've literally down to basics. however i use well what i have. so i think im def. going to use this idea. keeps everything simple and in my purse. now to get rid of two huge bulky case it binders. one is double the other single.

So a big thanks to niro for starting this thread cause it was right there when I
    went looking!

And another thanks to MTL for pm'ing back and forth with me about how many Avery inserts to buy, how to organize myself and coupon chit chat in general lol. I think I will finally not be embarrassed to whip open my binder in public

Here you see my new stylish small binder and separate trading box, and my old ripped giant binder lol.

Since Ive started I have gone through soooo many different styles: what I have found works for me is the basic 5 star 3 ring binder. It have a file system in the front (for larger coupons, with labels so they stay in my categories) and then I use hockey card inserts and photo album inserts for my other smaller coupons. My binder is separated into categories and kept in order by month of expiry. I personally hate not being able to see everything coupon I have as I have so many and forget about some of them. This system works for me as while Im shopping I can flip thru anytime and see all my coupons at a glance!

I told Bromwen that my binder has 46 pages in it, pretty much equally divided between the 4-pocket pages and the 2-pocket ones! It IS quite pricey, but for me it was worth it in the end. You just have to be ready to spend an initial big amount as an investment

    Thanks!! I LOVE it

It *was* pricey though. This is what I ended up buying (from staples.ca as we have no car, no one to drive us anywhere except my Dad who lives out of town, and well I am a hermit LOL):

NOTHING I bought was on sale. And you know what? It was liberating!!

YES, I did just say that paying full price was liberating and NO I'm not losing my mind! When I first started couponing a few years ago I stopped buying some of my favourite things because I felt like if it wasn't on sale and I didn't have a coupon to accompany it, I shouldn't buy it. Well now I've learned that if I can save nearly $5000 in one year because of coupons, it is okay to sometimes pay full price for stuff. Especially since I have lost quite a few coupons (and one Pull Up's FPC which I am still sulking about!) because of my old ripped and awkward binder lol.

Anyway, I ended up paying $78.61 in total (that includes tax). But it was delivered the next day!

Since I just admitted I overpaid for stuff that is going to be saving me money, I will also admit that today at WM I bought Snuggle Dryer Sheets for $6 no sale, because I practically jumped out of my pants when I found out they FINALLY sell fabric sheets in the Exhilirations scent!! FINALLY my laundry can smell like that fabric softner that makes me wanna eat my towels LOL!!

Wow, i didnt mean to sound like full price was out of this world ( in the couponing world) but I just imagined how many pages would be needed and ... I had a heart attack .. BUT YOU have one amazing binder .. that i can say because im super jelly that it looks so nice ... the zipping of the binder .. it just tops the cake to neat and tidy !!!.
Thanks for the links ,I am in the market for exactly what you have , those pocket sheet protectors and might one of these days ( when I feel spontaneous that is ) go and buy them at retail..

    Great brag Bronwen!!!!!

Theres another insert I recommend, which is hard to find in the stores. I think it was Martha, MTL can correct me if not, and its a zippered pouch. Good to keep scissors in or important papers. I keep my FPCs in there and any rain checks.

Yes I saw that one and considered it when I was checking out, but I opted for the 5x large secure tops instead so now I use 2x for my fpc's and the others for the jnj call ins and any other abnormally large coupons lol. Here's the link:
