I know Costco has it. It's in a good sized square tub for $17 or so.

Costco is the best place, price wise. Carrington Farms Organic 1.5kg size for $17.

Its pretty widely available - at the health food store or in the grocery store (health aisles) even Bulk Barn. Prices vary as do container sizes....but Costco is the best price around.

Thanks for your replies. I do not have a Costco membership and don't live near one....will have to check our health food stores in town. But at least I have a bit of an idea price wise now.

I buy mine at a middle eastern grocery store and I paid about $10 for a 2kg can. I use it to make soap, so I don't care that it isn't organic.

I just started looking into this. I was confused that the packages I saw had grams rather than ml. I was in Sobeys earlier and saw that it's not liquid, it's kind of solid!
This Organika brand at Costco is $17 for 454 grms, seems very expensive. http://www.costco.ca/Organika%C2%AE-...&storeId=10302

what i wonder is if all coconut oil is organic by default?
from what i have been reading, if you are going to consume it you want is virgin coconut oil, because if isn't virgin, it is hydrogenated. In 2020 I had 100 FREE Grocery pickups! Subscribe to PC Optimum Insiders & get 25,000 PC Optimum pts

I used to buy it at the Middle Eastern grocery store at the corner of Bank and Alta Vista, but they stopped carrying it. A friend of mine has told me that the Mid-East Food Centre on Belfast (near St-Laurent) carries it, but I haven't been able to check for myself or what price they charge.

I pay $19.49 for 908g organic coconut oil at the Co-Op. They are the only place in town that sells it.
I've been wanting to order it online from Tropical Traditions but their shipping to Canada is outrageous! Or at least to my postal code is. IF you have someone in the states, they have crazy good deals. They do sell a few tropical traditions products on ebay. It works out to be about what I pay locally once I factor in the ebay price + shipping.
We switched to cold press coconut (aroma free) months ago and I will never, ever go back to yucky vegetable oil. It was one of our first health changes, and it was super easy.
