So todays happy brag started off with booking an eye appointment to get new contacts. I first booked at my optometrist, then thought I'd phone Superstore where I planned on purchasing my contacts. Rebooking there saved:

Optometrist $130 - same exams done at Superstore optometry $70 = $60 saved.

Then I bought a year supply of acuvue oasis $179 (on promotion) - $50 MIR from smart source. (saved another $70 down from my regular optometrist price.) = $120 saved

Then the lady at the eye counter says, "well you're only $70 away from spending $250 and getting the $25 GC". So I didn't need groceries but my 23 week baby bump has been in need of new clothes so I went to the Joe department. 5 nice shirts cost me $70.

They gave me a GC for $10 for spending $50 on Joe, and then I took my receipts to customer service and got another $25 GC.

So yay! My new 5 shirts cost me a net of $35, and I saved almost $200 on eyes!

Edited: hmm, well there's been a snag in my master plan, I must have used my pin to print the MIR form out months ago and lost the form. Who knew it was a one time print? Now trying to make a trade to get another.....silly me

Great brag!! I also used a MIR for my Acuvue too. It was save $40 when you buy 6 months or more. So I just did the 6 months. Can't wait to get the refund back. It really helps. So great that you got some shirts too!!!

Lol I hear you, it was weird at first. I have a friend who actually puts in her husband's contacts for him. He uses the ones that stay in for a month, so it's a rare job when you consider 12 times a year. I'm not convinced on using those ones that stay in so long, but I've definately gotten used to touching my eye!
