The walking dead is back tonight. Dh is going to his friends house for some wrestling pay per view. So I get to watch the walking dead and the talking dead alone after the kids are asleep.

In the early seasons I wanted him to just go away, but he finally grew on me and now I'm sad.

Yes, I guess I’m not a fan of walking anymore. I used to love it...we had a dead party at our house on Sundays for a few years. There’s so many great shows on Netflix,etc,and I don’t get to watch a lot of tv,so now I save my tv time for shows I really like. I think I’ll just move on.

I can certainly respect your opinion... while I still love the show and will continue to watch I also read the comics. I am very angry and disappointed that they killed Carl, he’s a huge part of the comics and I’m wondering what direction the show will be going in. (Both story wise and ratings)

I'm under the impression that while the ratings are still strong, they've been eroding for the past few seasons. My guess is that killing off Carl won't affect them much. Most people who care enough to stop watching because the storyline diverged from the comics have stopped already anyway.

They seem to be pulling further away from the comic storyline, don't they? I haven't read the latest one yet but I really hoped the show would follow the Negan is good storyline but I can't really see them doing that now, can you?

There are people who think Carl's death / dying wish will serve as the turning point for Rick to give up his vendetta against Negan, which means they're not ruling out the possibility of that Negan's future will resemble the comics version.
