Wow awesome deal - Will have to check out the winter section in ottawa for sure.
Has anyone in Ottawa seen these kinds of deals up for clearance on winterwear recently?

I bought my son "Cars" winter boots for $3, regular price $39. There were only 3 pairs left, but i was lucky because i found size i needed. Women winter shoes also were marked down to $3, but selection were poor.

The Walmart in Kingston also has had the kids' winter boots on for $5 for a while now, too. Of course, when I went, there were piles of toddler size 8, 9, 10, and boy size 5 and 6, but not one single size 2 or 3. *sigh* And my kid is rough on boots. The pair he was wearing last week is now separated where the sole meets the upper (?). Agh.
I had purchased a pair of Gusti boots for dirt cheap a short while ago because they were missing the boot liner, but I was expecting to not have to use them for my son until next year. When I realized how bad his boots were (and that I could not find a pair of size 2 or 3 anywhere), I scrambled to find some fabric to make liners. Found an emergency blanket in the garage (even the manufacturer doesn't know what it's made of: "unknown fibres"), doubled it up and made some ridiculous-looking liners. Whatever, it does the trick for now! Just don't take them out! LOL Now if I had been smart and hit Walmart just a wee bit sooner, I wouldn't have had this problem.Jesus saves!
