Voted today--sorry I did not see this post earlier! I will pass this on and keep voting. Our current accesible van with a wheelchair lift cost us about $30,000 used and then we had to add the lift and new hand controls (for driving), $8,500 more! We did not recieve any 'funding' as my dh had a job (with his disablitlity) therefore is not eligible to recieve disablity pension or get any funding for anything! Many people think everything is free or programs 'give' to a person with disability--well, believe me it isn't true--it costs alot to have a disability in many ways!
So, having said all this, remember to VOTE--let's help this little one and her family enjoy life, without all the financial burdens!
