I just started keeping track of my savings this past January and was amazed to see that I have used $774.76 in coupons, points and gift cards (from trades, Kellogg's, etc., - none purchased by me)!!!!!!! All purchases that I have made include groceries, household needs (cleaners, laundry detergent, TP, etc.) andbeauty supplies (make up, creams, shampoo, etc.)

I did notice as I was entering my receipts that I have made purchases that weren't necessary and a few where I didn't use any coupons
, but overall I am super excited that I have saved so much in 3 months .

I have spent $1775.10 - $774.76. My average grocery bill is $75.00 per week. I used to spend, on average, $200.00 week to maintain the house hold needs. I have 2 growing boys (who eat a lot now), a husband, father and myself to feed and care for and I am amazed that I can still save an average of $125.00 per week.

    A big
THANK YOU to all SCers for you help, kindness andadvice along the way!

Rigatti, this is an amazing update...I'm so happy for you!!!! I remember your posts in try to lower your grocery $OOP...boy you sure have done well! It's great when you can take stock of your spending and reflect on it. WTG and keep us posted on how the rest of the year goes!

Oh, re your comment on "a few where I didn't use any coupons" I saw another SCer post about allowing for $X for regular priced items...we all need room for that since not all our shopping trips will involve sales and couponable items. Don't beat yourself up on that one!
