Hi All!
Spoke with Rogers this morning to change my internet service and was informed that temporarily (until the end of March) they have implemented an unlimited internet add-on.
http://www.rogers.com/web/content/un...n-0213-_-slot2
As listed in the ad:
As part of an eligible in market digital TV, internet, and home phone bundle, add unlimited internet usage for only $10/month
Add unlimited internet usage to any eligible in market internet package for only $30/month
Enjoy! This thread is currently associated with: Rogers (Plus)

Thank you! Just called and got unlimited internet usage for an extra $10. We were always going over and it stressed me out. Not receiving notifications that we are at 100% usage is well worth the $10! Thanks again.

I have to agree with Karamelo on this... for more than one reason.
First, full agreement that other providers have unlimited packages and that it's nothing new. It's one reason why I switched from Rogers to Bell FibreOp (not to be confused with Fibe) almost 2 years ago. And it costs me less per month than the current Rogers comparable speed service. So unlimited is not really "special".
Secondly, this is only available in specific markets. It's NOT a national promo. It seems to be targeted at markets where Rogers has been slumping in sales to either keep customers from switching, or to repatriate lost customers.
Thirdly, in order to get this add on (and I'm going by what a Roger's rep told me when I did call) -- you have to sign up for a bundle which includes TV and Phone service as well as Internet. This was confirmed by a Rogers rep, as well as the original post. So, $10 on top of everything else -- which in my market ALREADY costs more than the competitor's offerings anyway, is not "special".
If Rogers wanted to offer it... just give it to your customers. And for heaven's sake don't limit the time of the offer until the end of March.
Can you imagine what kind of PR they'd make if they just said "Free upgrade to unlimited internet" What a treat that would be.
ADDENDUM: Please don't read this as discouragement. If I was still a Rogers customers, and if I did have the bundle, it's still a decent promo. But again, in light of competition it's something Roger's should offer permanently for all.Last edited by bhlombardy; Mon, Mar 18th, 2013 at 10:06 PM.
