And you know the most ...impressed thing I heard when I was in the waiting room...secretary calling at least 7 patients to encourage them to do an appointment..because it was 3 year,1 year they did not do a simple cleaning...I heard in the other place a women 3 year for not going on the social assistance...why^ because it is so costly...that is the main reason. Eat ,paid rent and bills...or go to dentist...where is the choice^

I'm sorry to hear you have to go through the work and the paying of the bill! Dentists can be quite costly. When I was a student, I was covered under my parents insurance and then after graduating, I was working, but did not have benefits. It was just over a year and then I started receiving benefits. I am very fortunate for them, but I kept my cleaning appts up to date without insurance as well. Call around or ask your office if they give you a discount for not having insurance - my dentist gave me 15% off - so I saved a bit - better than nothing right?! I hear most dentists will offer 10%. I also do believe that some dentist offices charge more than others - something worth checking out for sure. If you have a credit card with rewards - use it to pay the balance - at least you will get something in return and ask for a double helping of what they usually send you off with - toothbrush, paste and floss

I am currently avoiding my dentist, I am thinking of getting a restrainng order as they are practically stalking me. It has gotten so bad the girl in the office now lie for me when they call as they will not leave me alone. I am currently not going as I do not trust what they are telling me. How did I not go to a dentist for over 7 years and my teeth were fine, but now that I go to a dentist every 6 months everytime I go in there find something else new and wrong with me teeth that involved atleast 2 more additional visits, not to mention now that want to re do 2 fillings they just did. I have one thing to say MONEY GRAB.

I remind myself in QC it is paid by the assurance du quebec until 13 years...after it is another story. My mum who was a primary school teacher had insurance for chiropratic, massage and medication ...but not for teeth or glasses...she ssuffer of that because me and my brother have glass since we are young..another thing costly after the tooth....I think it was because they voted no in their syndicat because the others teachers children were older...after 13 years nothing...I dont know where we cannot haave something like a franchise like regie assurance maladie for making more affortable...and even working not all the work have dental insurance and can take time to acquire. So make an estimate with another one..or a pm I got check the dental clinic students can be checked
