Too far for me too, Patty. But if it's correct, then the locals have an under-used resource.

I would love to do this, but I'm too far away too. All my savings in coupons will be eaten up paying for gas and I will probably get lost meaning more gas circling around meaning time wasted. But that's just me, lol.
Hello!
As I have explained before, this is store-specific. I had the nice lady I met on eBay come by today - it took 50min to complete her two carts! - and I duplicated her receipt with her permission.
The Receipt Length:

Where the receipt has a huge amount of white down the middle is where the coupons are. There are maybe 30 items (in multiples, of course) on the receipt itself, whereas 70% is coupon information. It took about 2min to print in its entirety, and is approximately 1.5m long.

525.08$ in coupons! And anything with a * is price-matching - price-matched savings don't appear at the bottom of a receipt, mind you.
I also would appreciate it if people stopped being aggressive towards me about this. I'm sharing good news, and I understand you might not "believe" it, but it's no excuse to be so hostile.
Thanks.
And for those who are enjoying this news, HAPPY SAVING :D Maybe I will see you around.
That's an impressive looking receipt and I'm not sure if you thought I was being aggressive, but I wasn't. Just thought I'd seize the opportunity to ask you for a scan of Maxi's coupon policy,.... not your store's specifically... but the BASIC one as you yourself described. As I said before, this would be helpful to MANY of us as opposed to just the couponers who live in the vicinity of your store.
Do I ask for something like that? I found one online, in any case:
http:///community/showthread.php?tid=1076
It sounds about right.
A quote from my boss would be, "It doesn't matter what's written on the coupon, as long as it's Canada-valid and it hasn't expired" with the exception of Coupon Zone / In-Store Hang-tags, which are 1x per family. Like I said, lenient.
Also, some research online indicates that Maxi borrows the policy from LoBlaws directly, so if that's the case:
LoBlaws Policy
I'm not sure if this post is in response to my request for Maxi's policy. I just asked because being a Maxi employee you would probably have access to something with Maxi's company name on it, not just hearsay from the internet.
No need to get upset if you don't. By the way, your links won't work here because we aren't allowed to post links to other forums/sites that might compete with SC.
Oh, OK. I didn't know. That second link was from LoBlaw's website, though :(
And I've never asked for a policy hand-out. I haven't seen any clients ask, either. I just know how it works at our Maxi, and from the replies here I guess it's out of the ordinary!
I'll ask the next time I work if we have a written copy.
Also, someone changed my thread title :( what's an NF?
THe second link , ie the Loblows one, seems to have been shortened somehow. Perhaps Yusshin didn't C&P it properly..
I tried eight times the same thing, even URL tags, but it keeps changing a part of the link to .com.
In any case, I added the attachment. Again, it seems about right, but I'll still ask on Tuesday.
NF means NoFrills... but only a mod could change your thread title.
I assumed employees were given a written policy when they got trained. A friend googled a bit and found info on another site but again it's just copy/pasted on a forum. It doesn't look official like say.... SDM's policy
A friend just found this Loblaws policy for me online
AH NO FRILLS LOL I haven't been there in six months + before that, I shopped at Walmart (since I worked there) so I completely forgot lol
but Maxi is Quebec-only (like NF is everywhere else, haven't seen one since Ottawa anyway). Kinda a misleading title D:
Also, I added the same policy as yours to my messed-up post, Tbites. It sounds about right, but again, will still inquire on Tuesday.
We aren't given a copy. We're just told to take anything valid in Canada and unexpired. No need for specifics when it's so broad, I suppose :P
At my Maxi you need a supervisor after 10$ in coupons, and they need to unlock the cash with the password after each damn coupons.. she used 367 coupons ??
That's like Walmart lol
No, at our Maxi, everyone has Supervisor IDs so we don't have to call people over to unlock the Cash. It was causing too many problems (this was before I was hired, but I can relate since Walmart was HORRIBLE for CSM call-overs), so we can override quantities, negatives, etc. on our own. We don't even have to put the password in 1/2 the time - just pressing "ENTER" will do the job lol
And yup, 367 coupons @_@ I got paid 40min over-time, too, since I was supposed to be done at 6pm but it took 50min to go through all her flyers, coupons and products :P
sounds like a shop asking for fraud to be commited...giving every cashier unlimited access to the codes.
