I saw in the paper that the new No Frills on 152 and Fraser Hwy. opens this month! They are also hiring if anyone is in need of p/t work.

Woo hoo! I've been trying to see the progress when I drive by, but lately they have the windows boarded up. Hope they have some great opening specials.

Well, as of last week, they started stocking shelves. There have also been tons of delays on that site, all due to the Gen. Contractor (according to DH). One example is that, they only had 1 porta-potty for what is now 80 or so workers on site!

He estimates another 3 weeks or so for his crew to finish (refrigeration), which would be cutting close for finishing wrap ups! On a better note, he's getting a lot of overtime hours lol!

I'll keep everyone up to date as it goes along!

I had no idea a No Frills was coming! I've never been in one but the prices look interesting from the flyers that are posted.

I heard the store manager-owner is going to be Terry Maguire. Awesome guy. I work with him in the past. Right now he is the store Manager of the newly renovated RCSS Marine Dr store.

Where is going to be? I know Save On is on 1 corner and Safeway is across behind Shopers...

It's on Fraser Hwy a block east of 152. Used to be a Winners store and then a furniture store. I drove past there tonight and the have a sign out saying No Frills is coming soon!

Thank DianneS I am looking forward to it opening as it is close enough that I can ride my bike up there to pick up a few things and it will be cheaper than Save On

That's right! And he is a great guy! So far everything is on track, for opening at the end of this month! I'm hoping DH can snag an opening flyer early for us, so we can get a sneak peek!

i saw the sign the other day while in the car with my family SO excited i started to squeel!! they think im a little crazy but i say im crazy for a good deal !!! wooohoo so excited this will be so fun!! i love how close it is to safeway and saveon and shoppers then you can do all your shopping in one stop!!
so excited for CHEAP CHEAP food!! and good deals!

Ha! I don`t know if he will remember me it was almost 13 years ago. I saw him at Marine Drive last week and was to shy to say Hello. Last time I saw him he had brown hair now it all WHITE! I will probably be at the opening so I will make the effort to talk to him.
