I'm pretty new to this site, but not to shopping at SDM. I went on the wknd to score 20x the points and did my usual by spending just over 50 BEFORE tax and then used coupons to lower my total. Usually, I get the promo's whether the comp does it automatically or the cashier scans something but this time it didnt give me 20x the points since I lowered my total. I understand that there wasnt anything the cashier could do but I had to make note that all the other times I have had NO issues getting their promos. Anyone else have this issue over the wknd? I emailed them twice so far and still havent heard anything back. Ugh !

I was told that I wouldn't get points after coupons cause my subtotal was brought below 50$, so I then spent the extra to get my subtotal back up to $50, BUT I got the 20x on everything including my coupons!! didn't make sense...

It worked for me before, but I didn't have many coupons to use this weekend, and had to get what I needed, my total was over $50. Hopefully someone can give us an answer.

What kind of coupons were you using? Were they regular $$ off, or BOGO Free/FPC?
I usually have them ring everything through, scan my optimum card, and then give them coupons.
But like others, I didn't have enough coupons to bring my total down this time.
As far as email, I'd suggest calling or posting on their facebook first. You more likely to get a faster response.

Yup, just regular coupons. Now that you mention it, she did scan my card after deducting coupons and usually they do it before...still shouldnt make a difference. I'll try the FB route..

NessaW,
Is it possible for you to post the part of your receipt that shows what you purchased & coupons deducted? Maybe if we take a look at it, we'll see something that explains what happened. You should have gotten the points if your before coupon total was above $50 and I am pretty sure it doesn't matter when they scan your Optimum card.

Apparently this is one receipt I can't find...after emailing them I put it in a "safe place". Hopefully they can still help me by simply using my optimum #. Anyway, I used $1 off from gocoupons, some razor coupons etc ...all regular coupons. My gf also used this promo to purchase a few boxes of diapers and then lowered her total below 50 with regular pampers coupons and she didnt get the points either.

How many regular points did you receive and what code were the coupons rung in as. 2001 = points 2002 = no points.

I shopped the 20X. My subtotal b/f tax was 48.11 + 5.07HST=53.18. I used $24 worth of regular coupons(2001), no freebies or B1G1F. The cashier was trying to convince me I needed to spend another 1.99($50 subtotal after I used my coupons) to get the 20X the points. This happened last 20X event I shopped too.
Since my subtotal B/F coupons was $72.11 I assured her it would be fine, she didn't think so. Once I paid she looked at the receipt and was surprised I got the 20X. I earned 620 regular points and 11780 bonus points to total 12 400.

Here is the link to Shoppers Official Coupon Policy website. You should have received your points according to their policy.

It was around 500 reg points and I didnt pay attention to how they were being rung in as I've never had an issue before. I finally got a response through FB and its being looked into.

Please let us know what happens when you hear back from them. Sounds like you should have gotten your points if your receipt showed 500 reg points.
Just confirming...you shopped Saturday, right? Just checking because you mentioned "this weekend", but it was a one day promo only.

I just had my gf check her receipt (she shopped at same location, same day). Hers went the following:
3 boxes of diapers @ 22.99 each
vendor coupon 2001 - 30.00
total with tax 42.42
reg points= 380
total points earned today= 380
Something is not right !!
