Hi everyone!
I want to buy Vegemite but not sure where to get it. It is a salty spread sold in Australia that looks like Nutella but is actually yeast.

Try ethnic or British aisles in grocery stores.
Marmite is similar to Vegemite and as a british product can be found in British import shops. I get mine from Bramble House
eta BH has Vegemite for $10
If you get in touch with a Seventh Day Adventist church, they can get everything and anything vegan for you

If you decide to get Marmite then it can be found at any grocery store for about $3.99
Good luck with that torontogirl! LOL DH and I searched high and low when we were on vacation in Ottawa( thinking a bigger town would sell it compared to crappy Moncton lol) I know theres an Aussie shop in Vancouver...

London Drugs sells it. It's not on the website for whatever reason but if you have a friend out West that can stop into an LD for you, they could ship you some.
Longo's on York Mills in Toronto sells it!
rcss sells it, or they used to. I don't eat it, but an Aussie friend told me it was awesome and I had to try it...clearly an acquired taste! (yuck) Anyhow, I have seen it there many times before.
I saw it at Walmart next to the yeast.
I've only seen Marmite in stores for years... they used to sell vegemite in a lot of places but the places selling it stopped... then in the last year or two I have found "London Drugs" has been selling it in Calgary again.
I had some marmite for the occasional urge to have something similar... but it is definitely not vegemite.
I first experienced vegemite as a kid in Jakarta trading my Peanut butter and jam sandwich with some Aussie kid who had vegemite... I actually thought it was like the Dutch and German kids had which was Nutella... definitely a rude awakening... and an acquired taste.. but my mom had it occasionally over the years and I developed a taste for a light skiff of it on buttered toast... developed even more of a taste for it on the 6 month trip I took to Oz in 99
It's been years since I had a good vegemite sandwich... but now that I've found it again I am going to have to stock up... Thanks London Drugs!!!
