My first brag! Free formula! (with pic)

Last night I went to Walmart to buy some formula for my daughter as I had a few $5 Similac cheques that were expiring soon. When I went to the formula aisle they had the Similac Advance formula on sale for $22.97 plus they had a $3 off peelie on each can. Something told me before I left the house to bring all my formula coupons just in case and I'm so glad I did!

I had:

12x $15 off coupons for any Similac formula
12x $5 Similac cheques

So I picked up 11 cans of Similac Advance and 1 can of Similac Go and Grow (it was the only one of the shelf)

$22.97 - $15 coupon - $5 cheque - $3 peelie = FREE!

Total value of all 12 cans: $275.64


I also managed to trade various coupons and other brands of formula samples for 12 sample cans of Similac as well as 2 packs of the ready to feed bottles through Kijiji and mom to mom groups.

I am so proud of myself! We have been going through some tough times and saving this amount of money is just simply amazing. I have only been couponing for a few months now and I can't believe I didn't try it sooner!

Mostly from trades. Similac also sends them out in a package when you sign up for their baby club.

I have never had any luck trying to redeem 3 different coupons/offers on 1 item. I do not know of any Walmart near me that would allow that. Great job on your part! Unbelievable brag! Did you have any problems using the 2 different coupons, and the cheque on each tin?

The location was the Walmart on Morningside and Milner (right off the 401) I did have a little hassle (they had to call the manager) and had to do it all in separate transactions.

The peelie was just a "Save $3 off this can" which they applied immediately and then they took the $15 off coupon. The $5 cheque isn't used as a coupon, they take it in a form of cash at the end of a transaction. I didn't even know you could do this until recently! I've always just used one or the other but was informed that you can use both! As one is a coupon and one is a cheque

I've gotten a few of the $15 ones from trades but got most of them from The Babytime show here. They have 2 each year and they give out AMAZING coupons and samples! Last fall I got lots of them from friends that attended and don't use Similac. The spring one is coming up at the end of April in Mississauga!

Sorry. MY jaw dropped because you had such a great BRAG. $275 FOR FREEEEEEEEEEE ...Amazing job , not sure how long that formula will lasts but something like a year??? Great savings when it comes to baby stuff as it can get expensive with diapers and etc. Hope you have MANY MANY MANY more of these brags !
