Type one diabetes..anyone have or know someone who's child has it?

My friend is struggling with her little guy starting school and all that means to manage his diabetes. anyone else experiencing this? PM me if you like.

we know someone. I can empathize with the added worry your friend must be feeling.

www.jdrf.ca is a really great resource and touching base with their local office may help answer some preliminary questions/concerns they may have.

Hey Gaylene,

My son is 22 but was 10 when he was diagnosed so I know exactly how she feels - it is the feeling of uncertainty and not having the power of control to make sure that he/she is ok in class.

As I said my son is now 22 and I still worry when he is at work or out with friends.
