I moved to RD last September so I'm not sure if this is just a one time occurrence but has anyone noticed the water is just really gross lately? At my work, my house, everywhere. It's smells awful, tastes even worse. I'm not sure what's wrong but I can't say I'm a fan.

It is the spring run off into the Red Deer river. It happens every spring. The city amps up the treatment of the water as well. It is usually only a couple of weeks and then it is back to normal.

I know we combined water supply with Blackfalds and Lacombe not too long ago but can't remember when. If there are that many people here in Red Deer I would like to have everyone get together for a coffee and chat group!!! :D I have sent out friend requests to all of you, please respond so we can make a plan, I'll even host!

it is the run off that sometimes happens. I didn't find it too bad this year, due to the little snow we got this winter. River & streams really low around central alberta right now. we need rain.
