    Strawberries 1 lb $1.97 (regular $2.97)
    Schneiders hot dogs $1.88 - $2.00 CO51 = $0.12 overage (regular $3.97)
    Wonder hot dog buns $1.97 (regular 2.87)
    Brought my own bag: credit of $0.03

    OP, I know the penny is not worth anything any more. But at least at Giant Tiger, your 3 cents is worth something -- with the bag.
    I also like that they round down the cents part of your bill, so you are not paying more. I think they even print that on the receipt.

    GT didn't give me the overage. What I meant, was that after I receive the $2.00 from Checkout 51, I will have earned $0.12 by buying the hot dogs.
