So I want to have some make up from Sephora especially eyeshadows. Want to have a little indulgence, lol There are so many brands: Smashbox, Nars, Tarte, Urban Decay... Which one would you recommend me? What eyeshadows have a good pigmentation and won't irritate eyes? I want mostly a palette. What do you have, and are you happy with your make up?

What about Naked 2? Is it good for any skin tone, for example, fair skin?

And do you like Smashbox? It has a new palette #3. Also Too Faced has good neutral palettes, too. So many choices... But I want more a neutral palette.

I also really like Urban Decay. I have the #1 and #3 Naked Palettes and love them both. (I have fair skin/brown eyes and find I can make them work well.) I haven't tried many other eye-shadow palettes, but I love NARS blush and smashbox primers. Tarte has a new rainforest after dark palette that's on my wishlist Good luck on your hunt!

If you are on facebook, there is a group called Canadian Beauty Talk, Great Online Deals and Swap, it's secret so I'm not sure how easy it is to find. If you can excuse the from-time-to-time drama, they do lots of reviews on beauty products and often swatch all of the eye-shadows so you can see the color out of the package.

But isn't Urban Decay too glittery. I don't want fully matte palette but don't want too glittery as well.

What would you say about Too Faced? Do their eye shadows have a good pigmentation?

yes, the last one is exactly the palette I need. Can I get that at Sephora? If not, what similar palettes are there in Sephora? Because I am not that familiar with Sephora make up.

Sephora should have it, some of the bigger SDMs will too
It is the Soft Box which is less metallic than their other pallettes

Sandstorm and Russet are my go to eyeshadows, neutral but decent pigment

Eye shadow palettes are my addiction! I really don't need any more, but clicking through the above links...I kinda want the Naked 3 or Too Faced neutral palette now

As for me, I have the UD Naked and Stila In the Light which are good shimmery neutrals with 1-2 matte colours that are great for blending out the shades. Both are great and when I bought them, they came with eyeliners.

If you have a Sephora near you, drop by and play around and check out the colours and texture.

It seems like Too faced and Urban Decay have similar colours. What do you think, do they have similar quality? Is it worth spending more on UD?

I am asking all these questions because I want something which would have a good pigmentation, would have no smell, and even though metallic or glittery, wouldn't make all my face sparkle like an X-Mas tree, lol. Once I tried Revlon Photo-Ready. and that was truly a real dressed up X-Mas tree experience.

I have the Urban Decay Naked2 and even tho most of the shadows are shimmery they still look natural and not overly glittery, and it literally lasts all day. I don't always take my eye make up off before bed and when I wake up in the morning the shadows are as vibrant as they were when I first put them on.
Tarte makes some good highly pigmented eyeshadows, there's a new pallet coming to Sephora in the next week or so with a blush, bronzed and some earthy purple toned eyeshadows(purple can look surprisingly natural).
I'm not a fan of Stlia or Smashbox shadows they're aren't pigmented or last long enough for me, but everyone reacts differently to products.
Go to Sephora and ask questions and play around with the colours, for the most part they are really helpful and really great when it comes to picking out the right shade.

I have all 3 Naked palettes (from Urban Decay) and absolutely love them! My favorite is Naked2 because it has the best neutrals for my skin (i'm pretty light skinned for an Italian lol)

The Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette is AMAZING! I've used it everyday since I got it and I could not be happier! The quality is smooth, very blendable and long lasting (esp with a primer - I use the Lorac eye primer). Plus it smells like chocolate and the packaging is very cute!

It has a nice mix of neutrals and all are very wearable. I like how they have the matte cream and shimmery cream in a larger size. The UD Naked Palettes are also nice, but I do find a couple of their shades a little too glittery for my taste. I don't find this with any of the Too Faced shadows.

Lorac is another brand that has amazing quality shadows. I have the Lorac Pro To Go and both of the Lorac Pro palettes. They are very pigmented and long lasting as well. The only thing is I don't think Sephora stores carry them in store anymore. You would have to order it online.

Chocolate is a nice scent but for my eyes I prefer unscented shadows Though love the colours, they are truly beautiful!
