i found the glad on sale for $3 at nf. The cashier said she couldn't take my $5 coupon because it was over the price of the item. I told her the nf coupon policy states they can change the amount of the coupon to $3. I did get the glad for free, but no overage.
I have a question. Does NF get the $5 from the company or the $3. To me if they don't send in the customer receipts showing that they changed the amount of the coupon. NF just made $2 off of me??? go figure.LF rice crackers, granola bars, any oj

I didn't NF would give overages. They're the same company as RCSS, right? Does RCSS do it too?
Great shop, btw!

SmartConsumer is correct, here is Loblaws company coupon policy regarding to this situation:
2.7 If the coupon value exceeds the retail value of an item, the coupon value will be reduced to reflect the retail of the item.
Not all cashier is aware of the company policy.
