Made the chocolate pudding mix that has been waiting for milk to come home! While the pudding mix uses less milk than the competing brand's version, Dr. Oetker's version takes longer to mix and set. Outcome? You still get the creamy mouth feel of the competing product yet Pudding Supreme is somewhat less sweet tasting and has a mocha-chocolate taste.
Actually, I can see myself making this pudding again for a treat that does not dump sugary tastes all over the tongue.
I also purchased the English Toffee pudding mix today. Will make it up tomorrow. It is not likely I will get the French Vanilla one because vanilla pudding is not a favourite taste sensation for me.

I tried the vanilla flavour a few weeks ago when they were sampling at Loblaws...it was aweful!! It was very grainy and had almost a flour taste. I can't help but think that they must have done it wrong or something. I have a FPC so I'm going to try buying chocolate because that is my favourite flavour.
I love couponing!!!

Thanks for posting the reviews! I was going to pick up the chocolate with my FPC as well. I will wait to see some other reviews about it. Interested in seeing more opinions.

English Toffee pudding requires 2 cups of milk, 1/2 cup more than the Chocolate pudding.
Taste-mocha (to me)/toffee flavour verging on brown sugar (which is third ingredient) aftertaste. Creamy texture remains. Did not leave much left for later (one serving left).
This time, I skipped the mixer and used a fork, then a wooden spoon to mix for 3min. Poured the mixture through a strainer into a bowl and mashed the powdery lumps up with some of the mix in the strainer to force the flavour into the bowl. Still worked!
Like this flavour as well!2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.

I have tried both the Chocolate and vanilla at in store tastings and will not be buying either flavour, I found them to have a funny texture and did not enjoy the flavour at all. My mom was with me and tried it as well and has agreed she did not like it either and would take a snack pack any day over this.

I'll admit to almost buying some Philly Cheesecake Dessert snacks on price reduction at Fortino's but I told myself I had the pudding mixes at home to enjoy first.
I'm quite certain I will not like the vanilla pudding if I were to taste it. Like the chocolate one best; the English Toffee flavour might grow on me if I can pair it with something neutral.2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.

Matrix82, is there a Metro store near you? Try there (maybe call ahead if it will save you time to confirm stock is on shelves in the baking section).

I got the English toffee one. It was the last one on the shelf. My mom enjoyed it but I didn't to be honest. It had a weird aftertaste to me. After reading what you guys wrote about the vanilla and chocolate flavours too, I don't plan on buying it again ever. Too artificial.

DH and I love the Vanilla one. It's never "grainy" or "floury" to me Not fans of the chocolate or english toffee tho.
