you can freeze milk, just make sure you thaw it out in the fridge and shake it together well. i may start to freeze ours to save the kids from going through 3L's in 1.5 days.
Butter without a doubt can be frozen. I do it all the time.
Milk also can be frozen from what I understand, best in bags i believe, please correct me if I am wrong.
Re: the cheese, here is a great link for info on what types can be frozen http://www.foodland.gov.on.ca/englis...e-prepare.html
Freezing processed cheese is not recommended.

Thanks for all the answers!! I was also wondering about freezing cream cheese and sour cream. Will go look a GOURMETSUES link to find answers! :-) Thank you all!
I freeze cheese slices, and they are fine after.
I prefer to freeze cheddar or mozza in small pieces, not grated. When it thaws, it crumbles when grated, so is just fine for pizza, lasagne, casseroles, etc.
Blocks of cream cheese - yes, though I've only done regular, not light. After thawing, just cream with a wooden spoon to regain smooth texture.
I freeze butter - cut it into quarters first, and also margarine quarters. I don't use tubs of soft, so am not sure about that.
When I was freezing milk, I would put it into smaller containers first, or freeze litres only. Thawing a giant block of milk takes forever, and I'm not sure that's awfully safe.
