Thread: RUDE cashier
-
Sat, May 4th, 2013, 04:55 PM #1
I went to SOF today and had a few coupons with my items. I asked the cashier if she preferred the coupons with the item or at the end. She started ringing my groceries in and told me that she wants them with each item..."those are the rules at SOF". She told me to get faster in putting the coupons down and if I couldn't keep up she wouldn't take them next time! WHAT, I was never, ever treated that rude by any cashier!

mrs.march6!
I'm so sorry you had to go through that. This is what you do. You have your receipt right? Go in and speak with the manager and explain exactly what happened. That is unprofessional and should not go un-noticed. The date, time and cashier details are on there and make certain to make a complaint as important as it is to mention when you have good service. A conumer, a customer is the reason why this cashier has a job and you were just trying to be accomodating. I hate hearing about this. No one should treat anyone that way. If this happens again, take her name down - ask her her name even to outline that you require her name to proceed to the next step which is to make a complaint to the manager. If you would rather write a complaint. Follow this guideline- the 5-Ws. like the show W5.
1. Who- Cashier name
2. What- Complaint regarding custumer service
3. Where- Save on Foods (Location)
4. When- Date
5. Why- Incident regarding Unprofessional conduct
Explsin that you have been a loyal consumer for x-amount of time and have never been treated in such a manner and how many other patrons are being treated this and have gone un-reported....you take it from here.
Good luck and again..that bugs me, you should act like a professional at all times and that in unacceptable. Don't let her bug you, you have a say in this.

I think companies take a hard look at customer complaints when they're in writing.
They know the amount of time it take to go through the process means you were really upset. They also know that for every one person who takes the time to complain in writing there are many more who leave upset and just choose to shop elsewhere.
She needs to worry less about you keeping up with her scanning speed and more about her keeping her job.The best things in life...aren't things

Thank you everybody for your advice and feedback. I received a phone call from the store manager, who apologized for her behavior. He assured me that he will speak with her and by no means is this SOF rules.
