Thread: Pricematching with a smartphone at checkout?

    Just curious if anyone has had any luck with showing a cashier the flyer on their smartphone in order to get the price matched?

    I would love to start doing this as it would save me bucket loads of more money but am not sure if this is something that is allowed generally? I'm planning on asking at my Walmart tomorrow night but just curious on any ones experiences attempting to do so.

    I called ahead and asked at WM, and they said yes. Tried, and had no issues. 2 weeks ago at the Square One location, I was PMing grapes.
    Also did it at Target last week.

    I'd call ahead.
    And if you don't already use it, PM with the app Ree Bee (one word). It shows every flyer in your area according to your postal code)

    Oh, and I just pulled it up on my browser (I have an android phone).
    I had it pulled up before I got to the cash register, to the page I needed.

    Oh, and ONE more thing...lol
    I have also just done a screenshot it on my iPod Touch (we only recently got a cellphone), and maybe it was just luck, but they accepted it. I had zoomed in on one shot, and zoomed out on another, just in case.

    Yeah well no frills hardly price matches paper flyers to begin with so definitely didn't expect them to do phone price matching. Hate no frills so much!
