Never send the bear to the grocery store without lunch first!!!!!
Thought you guys would get a kick outta this. We needed Milk, just milk, only milk!! lol. So off to the store he went. Before he left I mentioned "grab some fruits and vegetables too".
Here is what he came home with ( all his favourites lol ) :
4 Family packs of Chicken wings ( to his credit, he got a really good deal between $6 and $7 a pack!! )
4 Lobsters ( $60 )
6 Prime Rib Steaks ( $8 a steak )
1 whole Pork tenderloid ( $22 )
1 Package of Bacon Wrapped Scallops ( $10 )
AND
1 bunch of bananas ( theres the fruits lol )
1 bag of carrots ( theres the veggies lol )
1 carton of milk - the one thing we needed!!!
For a total of $166!!!
The moral of the story is..... NEVER ever send your husband to the grocery store without having lunch first!! lolThis thread is currently associated with: N/ALast edited by JennyFromTheRock; Mon, May 13th, 2013 at 07:58 PM.

LMAO!!
too funny!! my DH knows I'm going to ask how much he spent.... lol so he tends to just let me do the shopping. I hardly send him out.. unless it's of his own doing...
On the bright side... most of these can be meals for future!! hahaGetting back into trading - see my Trade and Wish Lists (under 'About Me' tab)

lol my husband would do the EXACT same thing.
Did I mention when my husband had a cold a few months ago his father told him to take 'aspirin daily low dose' or whatever.. he went straight to the store and spent TWELVE DOLLARS when I had coupons at home and sales elsewhere to make them FREE :| Needless to say, I always remind him of the $12 he wasted lol Cuz Im a jerk

Mr P works in packaging which is why I never let him shop on his own..he brings back new products just to look at the tech involved.
OTOH...I'm good at shopping when I'm hungry since nothing appeals to me when I'm hungry and shopping so I stick to my list esp when it comes to fast food.
Short answer : no Long answer : NOOOOOOOOOOO!
