We are so touched that so many people have gone out of their way to help Hallie. So many SC members went out of their way to help the word has spread across the province, country, and around the world. It has been so wonderful to celebrate the milestones with members over the pass two months. The kindness has touched every member of our family. We are very happy to announce that with your support Hallie has made it to the semi-finals! Please share our thanks with family and friends who have helped!

UPDATE ~
I just wanted to say thank you again for everyone here who went out of there way to vote, and share Hallie's story. I can't tell you how much the support meant to our entire family!

The NMEDA announced yesterday that they have notified the 3 winners of the accessible vans. Unfortunately, we weren't notified. So many people have done so much to help us with this contest, and the van would have been such a blessing to Hallie and our family, I do have to admit, I was a little disappointed that she didn't win.
I told Hallie after school, and she took the news quite well. When my husband came home from work, I asked Hallie to tell her dad the results of the van contest. I was a little surprised when she proudly announced "I'm a semi-finalist!". It was a little 'light bulb moment' for me. Once again, Hallie had taught me an important lesson. True to herself, she faced the contest, like she deals with so many challenges in her life. She focussed on her accomplishment, and not what didn't happen for her. She was so right! In a contest of over 1200 very special, very deserving people, she made it to the semi-finals. A truly amazing accomplishment!
