Sobeys Bonus Razor WUS $25 in Participating Products

I noticed today Sobeys Ontario has a promotion in their flyer for a free Silvertouch Proglide razor WUS $25 in participating products.

Thanks to some wonderful trades, I had 4 FPC's for Proglide Razors, and I wondered if redeeming FPC's would count towards purchases for the freebie.

The Proglide Razors were $12.29 each. Since I was a few cents shy of $25.00 I also picked up some dishsoap. The free promotional razor did not come off automatically, but the manager at my store had no problem giving it to me.

So for $3.38 I got 3 razors, one dishsoap, 34 Sobeys points, AND I did the same transaction twice!

was there tax to pay? Or was that part included in the $3.38? I ask because as I wandered past the display yesterday, I thought geez all the products qualifying are taxable items and not cheap products, so of course I didn't bite. I love that you had the FPC's THAT was a perfect way to get this deal. Congrats!

When the cashier rang in the FPC's, the tax was included. The $3.38 came from the ridiculously overpriced dishsoap that I bought to get my total to $25.00 ($2.99 + tax = $3.38).

Gosh! That was what I suspected, ain't that the way though? ( especially when dish soap is often almost free with coupons) I have always found Sobey's so overpriced like Metro, but when they have a deal like you were able to get, then it was sure worth it. Thanks for answering.
