Unfortunately I have 5 part-time children over the summer. They are all paying a daily rate. I originally only wanted full-time school aged children because I am only providing childcare until September when I go back substitute teaching. I had no-one follow through on being full-time, so I opened up the ages and changed it to having options for monthly, weekly, and daily rates. Most of these children have other childcare providers and I am essentially filling in for the days that their regular person is on holidays. In order to keep my own son's daycare spot for the fall I have to continue paying his childcare bill during the summer, even though I clearly do not require the services during July and August. There are few reliable options for affordable childcare in my community.
I don't know what happen but suddenly there's this fishy / wormy smell inside my house. It's the "wormy" smell like after rain except it has not rain yet. The weathernetwork predicts a thunderstorm this evening so maybe the worms moves near the surface just in case. I can't stand it, feel like throwing up. Anyway, this is weird...bc this smell should occur after rain not before.:icon_scratch:
No carpet, no pet. Not mouldy smell. The windows were open so I think the smell came from back yard. It's much better now.
I finally slept. My doctor gave me something and it worked and I feel so refreshed. Now I get to crawl out of bed and clean up a kitchen covered in syrop and cheerios because the kids made their own brekkie today and destroyed my kitchen.
Lost a 2 years friendship because the person is not there for you...I can count my friends in less than 1 hands...I hope it will be better with the time.

We arranged for a sitter yesterday because we planned on attending Guardians of the Galaxy this afternoon with another couple. We have had this babysitter take care of our son one other time. This will be the last time that we have her. Dh drove across town and back (twice) and she didn't talk. OK, I would prefer an update on how our son was this afternoon with her. That's the small stuff. When we walked into our living room our LO sat up on the couch from his nap the "baby sitter" was still sprawled across the rest of the couch sound asleep!! Dh had to shake her awake because she didn't realize we were home. The only time that I ever thought about sleeping while on a babysitting job was when it was overnight or until the wee hours of the morning. Why in the world couldn't this girl stay awake for the 3hrs that she was supposed to be caring for our son?? So needless to say we will not be getting her again. There was a young girl that I have taught that is heading into Grade 9 this fall. She is nice, has siblings, gives us updates on the drive to drop her off. I will certainly be getting her back in the future. Just such a waste of money. We don't get a babysitter very often, but I certainly don't see the point in paying someone that kind of money when they literally sleep on the job.
i'm a city girl... I don't do dirt roads.. I especially don't when my sister's driving.. thank goodness for candy crush on the cellphone.. or else there would have been fingerprints in the door handle
