The heat will be turned off from Oct 19-Nov 20 to fix the boilers in my building. Each unit will be lent one space heater and a $35 cheque upon return of heater in new condition to compensate for extra hydro. #notimpressed

Why not do this during the summer months instead????????????????

OMG They do this at my building too in November e very year. It makes me so mad. Do it in the summer!

My new computer is not running as fast as I think it should.

Just because a computer is "new", doesn't mean it will execute actions at optimal performance. A numbe rof things need to be done to every "new" computer, and old ones regularly:

- decrap using free tools junk that was pre-loaded on the machine.
- If Norton anitivirus is on there, delete it properly from the machine...it is a resource hog
- what type of processor is in the machine i.e. CPU
- How much RAM (random access memory do you have)
- which broser are you using

No real rants, I just wanted to pop in and catch up because I haven't been around much the last week.

I will say that this stupid cold I got about 2.5 weeks ago now still hasn't ran its course. I feel ok but the stuff I am coughing up regularly is pretty nasty. Sorry if TMI, but I don't think I have ever had cold symptoms last more than a week.

I bought a ticket for yesterday's Lotto 6-49, like many others. Jackpot has not been won but a shopping spree would have been appreciated (not even a match with one number). I won't be part of the Sat. ticket crowd.
