If you are going to phone me at 11.45 pm, please do not expect me to be anything other than panicked. That is "rushed to ER" discussions, not how to I salvage a non-risen cake.

just an insignificant mini rant BUT Shake and Bake needs change the name of their product because they NO LONGER provide the plastic bag in the box to actually SHAKE the meat in.
I thought it was missing when I opened the box but then I read the front and they state NO bag included to cut back on plastic. WTF? So I should just toss each pork chop up in the air and toss crumbs at them? ha ha kidding,

yes @GeorgiaK I also put the crumbs into a spacious tray but it just seems odd to keep calling the product Shake and Bake. They should rename it Plop, Pat and Press as you plop the meat into the crumbs, pat and press the crumbs into it. Sorry, I'm a little punch drunk ( tired ) atm, everything seems funny to me.

Had a power outage. When power was restored and I re-started my computer, I received a message from FireFox about 'It's been awhile since you re-started. Would you like to re-start FireFox?'
I thought, why not? What can it hurt? It's usually not a bad idea to re-start systems afresh.
Well, I am a fool. Why, oh why, can I simply not leave things alone? My PC uses WinXP and was working adequately. Why mess with something that already runs?
FireFox re-started and purged my AdBlockPlus program. With such an old operating system, there are no longer any alternatives. I am getting scores of spam from every site. Sigh, and they were most always blocked by my obsolete free add-on utility. Now, nothing works.
It just goes to show that no good deed goes without reward and should be taken as a cautionary tale for all who read. Don't mess with things that alread work; they can always get much, much worse. My food may not befit a king, but I eat like a horse.

@HermanH do you have a Microsoft account? There is some kind of vpn built in if you use Microsoft Edge. I have not found the Edge secure setting yet but when I use Edge, I sign into my Outlook account.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I think that my WinXP is too old to use Edge.
I checked my laptop and, thank God, I still have the AdBlockPlus installed on my FireFox browser. Burnt once, I'll be much more careful with my laptop. My food may not befit a king, but I eat like a horse.

DH and I went to Walmart to pick up our order. We parked and this lady with Ontario plates 1 car over in front of us parked her cart in front of our car and the car in front of us. Then she went to her car. DH got out of the car and said, "Lady, what are you doing? Put it in the proper place." If it was windy, it would've bumped our car. She goes, "I can't do that here?", meaning she does this at home, I guess.
DH was ranting at her. An older guy was packing his stuff in his trunk next to us said, "You got a good one there", lol. He saw and heard everything too. I'm embarrassed and went in the store. Meanwhile DH is watching her do her walk of shame pushing her cart to the cart port.

Observed in placing the backing/hanging plate on new smoke detector/CO alarm- only two more narrow openings are provided. Used Sharpie pen to denote top and bottom. I noticed how much more hand/wrist action is needed to slide unit sideways into narrow channel to get unit to hang.
Old unit's backing plate has three puzzle piece type openings, making unit lifting or hanging easier for dusting or shushing nuisance alarms. Have kept old backing plate and will see if it can fit new alarm. Otherwise my parent is going to struggle with new unit if it has to be handled.

We ran out of dish soap. Used the suds in bottle plus the tablespoon of dish soap I kept downstairs. The two family members who drive refused to go to a store to buy new container or jug.
Late afternoon, I head out (by foot)to use my CT money to get three bottles of 740ml Old Dutch green apple dish soap and do some other shopping. I get home 2h+ later. What did I see on kitchen counter? New jug of dish soap. 😒🤨
Well, as snap cap on old container was broken by me, we have to use up one bottle of the Old Dutch dish soap before anyone can decant the Palmolive dish soap. 👍
