Not sure how to get on the list. For the longest time I never had a card and just used hubby's. I finally got a card in October and usually go in at least once a week, even if it just milk or a couple bucks on something else, and suddenly i started getting mail outs!

I just checked hubby email yesterday and he finally had his first weekly coupon email! Better than mine this week!!! So we'll be using his.. Hopefully he'll start getting these regularly and by Christmas we'll have an awesome redemption this year!!!

A few days ago I got e-mailed a coupon for 1500 bonus points on Palmolive dish soap, which they happen to have on sale for $3. I printed it off and went to use it, but the cashier said she couldn't get it to work for some reason. Anyone else get this coupon, and were you able to use it? For dish soap, I would have expected the bonus points to be more like 150 rather than 1500, so I'm not sure whether the coupon was a mistake, or maybe the cashier was just pretending I couldn't use it to save the store having to give out so many points for it.

All previous coupons have been great so a little disappointed this weekend, especially seeing how it was a coupon I would have loved to use!
I imagine it's their marketing department's little experiment. If they offer you points on a product that's close to what you regularly purchase, can they entice you to buy it even if it's not what you use? And then they record that yes, you did fall for their trick or no it didn't work....

I didn't get any mailed coupons last week.

Agree 100% with sweet sparrow. Think about Cereal A vs. Cereal B. If you always buy A, would an offer entice you to buy B? SDM wants to know

also, they may have sponsored offers as well. Milk probably not, but I got one for sensitive toothpaste the other day, and I don't have sensitive teeth. Maybe the sensitive toothpaste company bought ad space hoping that I secretly have sensitive teeth and will buy it now that they gave me an offer.

Did you happen to notice if the cashier scanned your Optimum card first? The coupons will not work unless the Optimum card is scanned first.

You know, I think maybe she didn't scan my card, because I seem to remember her going straight to the coupon and setting the card down on the counter, but they should know better than that for an Optimum coupon shouldn't they? Maybe I'll try again with a different cashier if I have a chance to stop by again before it expires.
